Learn to paint like a Pro

art fundamentals with Kelli Ryan
Get ready to become a technically sound and well rounded artist!
What do these lessons include?
During these group lessons you will be guided through classical, abstract and experimental painting techniques, while learning the foundational art elements of:
-
Modeling with light and shadow
-
Color Theory
-
Texture
-
Space
-
Proportion
-
Line
-
Composition
-
Concept

We will primarily work with oil and/or acrylic paint, though these above art elements can be used to enhance your photography, sculpture, collage, graphic design, video art and digital arts practice, as well as your experience painting in other media such as gauche or watercolor. Essentially, not only will you learn the physical techniques of the medium but how to see and visually compose.

Additionally, art making is a practice. Therefore, it takes actual practice and getting into a rhythm of creating to get better at it. It won't help much to attend class only and never practice what you've learn. This is one major reason why this course is set up in a group format. Learning together as a community will help to keep you accountable and inspired to keep going, enhance creative discovery, and learn from other's in the group.
